DIRECTIONS

USING A GPS

• Please note that putting “Bayala” into any GPS or Map App on your mobile device, might lead you on the wrong path.
• Map Apps (Google/Waze/TomTom etc) will often direct you to turn at the D462 which is not a direct route to our lodge.
• If you would like to use a GPS, then please use The Baobab Inn as your destination and then follow from Step 3 below to get to Bayala Game Lodge.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

• From Durban airport it takes around 3 hours to get to Bayala.
• Drive north on the N2, past Richards Bay and Empangeni, remain on the N2, passing the town of Hluhluwe.
• Turn right off the N2 onto the D463, approximately 26kms North of the Hluhluwe turn off. You will see a Bayala sign, the Baobab Inn and an Engen Garage.
• Follow this dirt road over the railway line.
• Turn right at the T-Junction following signs to Bayala Game Lodge.
• About 1km down this road, you will turn left and go through the Mun-ya-wana Game Reserve gate.
• Once inside the game reserve, follow signs to Bayala Founders or Bayala Safari Lodge.
• Travel distance on the dirt roads, is roughly 10km from the N2.
