Bayala Private Safari Lodges offers authentic safari accommodation across two neighbouring lodges, conveniently located within walking distance of one another. Together, Safari Lodge and Founders Lodge provide guests with the same exceptional hospitality, facilities, dining experiences and safari activities, with the main distinction being the room category.
Safari Lodge features 24 beautifully appointed Classic Rooms, offering comfortable accommodation in a relaxed bush setting. Founders Lodge offers 24 spacious Superior Rooms, providing an elevated level of comfort while maintaining the same immersive safari experience.
Guests at both lodges enjoy welcoming lounges, a rustic bar, swimming pools, and relaxed indoor and outdoor dining. Our chefs create a variety of memorable culinary experiences, from traditional South African braais under the stars to hearty full English breakfasts and fresh lunches, all served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

BAYALA, meaning "never give in or give up," is a privately owned safari destination dedicated to conservation, authentic wildlife experiences, and warm South African hospitality. Situated within the Greater Munyawana Conservancy, Bayala offers guests the opportunity to experience exceptional game viewing, including the iconic Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros—in one of KwaZulu-Natal's most celebrated wildlife regions.
The Greater Munyawana Conservancy has, over the past several decades, expanded into a significant conservation area, creating an extensive wilderness where wildlife roams freely and the preservation of both flora and fauna remains a priority.
Centrally located in the heart of Zululand, Bayala provides easy access to many of the region's renowned attractions, including the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and Lake St Lucia, Sodwana Bay, Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park, uMkhuze Game Reserve, Ndumo Game Reserve, Kozi Bay, and Bayete Zulu Elephant Interaction. The area is home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and abundant birdlife, making it a paradise for nature lovers and birding enthusiasts alike.
